He worked in the field of Aortic Aneurysm surgery particularly the Endoluminal approach which avoided open surgery.

He served as Head of the Clinical School at Concord Repatriation General Hospital and was the Associate Dean of the Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney. While Head of School he was the driving force in raising funds and building the state-of-the-art Concord Medical Education Centre.

It has a cellar door that is a warm and friendly place to visit and take in the views while enjoying a glass of wine and eating olives!

As the the proprietor of Tintilla Estate Hunter Valley Vineyard and Winery he has been actively involved with the Pokolbin wine growing region. He wrote the successful application for the declaration of Pokolbin as an internationally recognised Geographical wine sub-region.
